How wagering works
Wagering is the stake an operator requires before bonus funds, and often the winnings from them, can be withdrawn. The multiple is meaningless until you know what it multiplies.
The arithmetic
“30x bonus” on a R100 bonus means R3,000 of stakes. “30x deposit plus bonus” on a R100 deposit and a R100 bonus means R6,000 of stakes. Same multiple, different amount of play. The numbers in this paragraph are an illustration of the sum, not an offer.
Rules that sit beside the multiple
- Game weighting. Slots are often counted in full. Tables are sometimes counted partly, or not at all.
- A maximum bet while the bonus is active. Cross it and the operator can void the bonus.
- An expiry. Several of the dated promos we read run for days, not months.
- A cashout cap on free credit. Springbok Casino prints R1,250 as the maximum payout on its R250 free bonus.
- A list of games that do not contribute. If it is not in the terms, do not assume every game counts.
Multiples we could read on 16 October 2026
- White Lotus: signup coupon SIGNUP150 is listed at wagering x40. The October promo is 40 times the deposit, the bonus and the free-spin winnings.
- Apollo Slots: SIGNUP250 is listed at wagering x30. The October promo is 30 times the deposit, the bonus and the free-spin winnings.
- Gbets: the welcome offer page says deposit-match bonuses carry up to 30x wagering. A separate terms page states other multiples, including 4x on a sports portion and 30x or 25x on casino portions. Those pages disagree. See the operator's site for current terms.
Springbok Casino, Silversands and Hollywoodbets did not print a wagering multiple on the pages we could read that day. See the operator's site for current terms.
